เมื่อจบ Year 13 แล้ว การไปเรียนต่อ Bachelor Degree ใน Year One นั้นถือว่าเป็นเรื่องปกติ แต่ในกรณีที่ในวันเกรดออก (Results Day) นั้น เราได้เกรดไม่ถึงตามที่ตั้งใจ เราหลุดจาก Firm Choice และ Insurance Choice เราไม่สามารถหาที่ที่ถูกใจจากการ Clearing ได้ และถ้าเราเลือกที่จะไม่ Gap Year และต้องการหาที่เรียน Year One ในปีนี้ให้ได้ทันที ก็จะยังมีอีกคำตอบหนึ่งรอเราอยู่

และสิ่งนี้เรียกว่า International Year One

International Year One ต่างจาก Year One ปกติอย่างไร

International Year One เป็นโปรแกรมพิเศษระยะเวลา 1 ปี ที่เทียบเท่ากับ Year One ในการเรียนระดับ Bachelor Degree แต่จะเป็นการแยกเรียนกับคนที่เรียน Year One ปกติ เพื่อปรับพื้นฐานทั้งในเรื่องของ Academic Skills และ English Skills ให้พร้อมสำหรับการเรียนก่อน และเมื่อเรียนจบได้แล้วผ่านเกณฑ์ที่เขาตั้งเอาไว้ ก็สามารถขึ้นไปเรียน Year Two ตามปกติของคอร์สที่เกี่ยวข้องได้เลย

โดยปกติแล้ว International Year One จะมี Entry Requirement ที่ต่ำกว่า Year One ปกติ ทำให้เป็นคำตอบที่น่าสนใจสำหรับคนที่ได้เกรดน้อยกว่าที่ตั้งใจเอาไว้ และข่าวดีคือ International Year One นี้มีใน Top Universities ที่น่าสนใจหลาย ๆ ที่

International Year One ก็คือ Foundation ใช่หรือไม่

คำตอบคือไม่ใช่ เพราะ Foundation หรือชื่อเต็มคือ International Foundation นั้น ถ้าจะให้เข้าใจง่าย ๆ เราจะนับว่าเป็น Year 0 ถือว่าเป็นปีปรับพื้นฐานสำหรับก่อนขึ้น Year One จะเป็นโปรแกรมที่เหมาะกับคนที่พื้นฐานจาก A-level หรือ IB นั้นไม่แข็งแรงพอที่จะเรียนในระดับ University ได้

เพราะฉะนั้นแล้ว International Year One สูงกว่า Foundation เพราะถือว่าเทียบเท่า Year One นั่นเอง

International Year One มีที่ไหน และมีคอร์สอะไรบ้าง
